Healing through understanding

Are you seeking clarity and emotional support after your birth experience?

Birth debriefing gives you an opportunity to talk openly and honestly about your birth experience, with someone who is trained to support you in telling your story.

Our birth debriefing sessions provide a safe space for your story to be heard and acknowledged and can be a starting point to understanding and processing grief and loss associated with your birth.

Birth debriefing is for anyone who feels they may be affected by the experience of birth. We support both individuals and couples to debrief their birth.

As a couple, you may find the emotions and responses to your birth are impacting your relationship, your connection, and your communication.

Birth debriefing can help you make sense of your perspective of the birth, clarify events and feelings, and provide tools for moving forward.

Our team can support you to prepare emotionally and psychologically for parenthood

You are expecting your baby soon. It is both an exciting and uncertain time. You have probably spent time preparing for labour and birth. However, the majority of new mums and dads report feeling unprepared for the significant changes and challenges that present following the birth of their baby.

Our team provides the following services to help you prepare for parenthood:

  • Individual and couple antenatal sessions
  • Free ‘Preparing for Parenthood’ sessions – see details below
  • ‘Ready Together Couple Workshop’ – see details in group programs
  • Relationship counselling following the birth of your baby

Becoming parents can be one of life’s most rewarding experiences, but it can also place enormous pressure on a relationship.

Sleep deprivation, changing roles, differing parenting approaches, reduced intimacy, communication difficulties, and the mental load of caring for a baby can leave couples feeling disconnected, misunderstood, or stuck in recurring arguments.

Our Stronger Together Package is designed to help you and your partner strengthen your relationship during pregnancy and the early years of parenthood.

Using principles from Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), we’ll work together to better understand the patterns that keep you feeling distant, improve emotional connection, and create a stronger foundation.
